Question Pap smear while TTC?

Hello, everyone. We are currently trying to conceive, and I have my annual well-woman exam next week (day 20 of my cycle). Is there any danger/issues with having a Pap smear? Thanks!

If you are concerned that you are already pregnant I would delay it... When I get mine done I occasionally have bleeding afterward. I would just bring it up with your Dr while you are there... sorry I couldn't be more helpful

I would say it is more dangerious NOT to have your exam. It is a very important, preventative exam. I have never had an issue about CD (I have gone during the 2WW and right after my period left) - I had spotting both times and that is very normal for the exam.

There is an added benefit of seeing your OB/GYN while TTC - you can then discuss your TTC efforts!

I would go. You can go any time in your cycle. I think some Docs even do it when your flow is light

If you do confirm pregnancy this is what a doc will do during your first appt anyway.
