Posterior Cervix

Is there anyway to know if you have a posterior cervix without your OBGYN telling you so? If you did have a posterior cervix, would it be harder to reach when trying to check your CP? I vaguely remember my OBGYN telling me I had a slightly tilted uterus once a long time ago during my yearly pelvic, but I wasn't TTC then and didn't pay alot of attention.

I'm not entirely sure, but I would think your doc would have to tell you.

I actually had the same thing happen to me. Once, when I was a teenager, the obgyn said I have a tilted uterus. Didn't think much of it at the time, but a year ago or so I asked my new obgyn if I have one, and she said just slightly but "not enough to even be worth mentioning". Hmmm....?? Regardless, now that I'm TTC, next obgyn appt I'm going to ask for a detailed report on if I have a tilted U or not!!! No beatin' around the bush anymore!

I have a tilted uterus. 2 docs told me its not a big deal. It used to be believed that it would cause infertility but it doesn't.

My mom has one also and had 4 kids.

I'm dealing with the same issue. A dr. told me during a pelvic that it was harder to do the exam due to my tilted uterus. Of course, I was terrified being my first pelvic and being in pain, so I didn't really hear much else. Anyhow, dh and I conceived our son in 3 months of trying with rather "conservative" positions. I don't really think my tilted uterus was a big deal.

Oh, but I do have trouble checking CP. Can't reach it unless it's really low - and even then, it ain't easy!

Thanks everyone.

JPreg - I'm the same way, I can't hardly reach mine, let alone tell if it's hard, soft, open or closed. Oh well, I'll just stick to the temping, CM and OPK's.
