Ok, as most of you know, Chris has to give his S/A on Friday. They said on the paper not to use any type of lube. Um...can I help him out a little with a BJ or will that tamper with things. I can't see him having to use a dry hand.

I am not sure I did hear that saliva damages sperm, but I am not sure if it matters for an SA. I am interested in the answer though--my DH has to submit a sample soon, although I think his is in a lab with no help from me. I hope they are well stocked with magazines or movies

Saliva can kill sperm. So will most lubes. Our doc made it very clear to us that we had to make completely sure that the sample was uncontaminated. Otherwise, the test might be inaccurate. So, DH was sorta on his own so to speak....

Yep, saliva=bad. Dh went and I couldn't go w/ him, and he said that all of the other men had their wives w/ them. I think I would feel strange sitting there watching Dh jack off.

I *ahem* helped dh with his s/a. That is how I know saliva doesn't kill sperm. I just stopped at the right moment and wiped the saliva off. His count was "excellent" quote unquote. Then for my iui, dh used preseed to do the job. Must not have hurt anything because his count was 939MILLION!
