So . . . when I pulled into the parking lot of the pedi's office today, I KNEW I wouldn't like it!!! It was . . . trashy . . . just not nice at all. The receptionist sat there ignoring me for a few minutes before she realized that the sign in clipboard wasn't out for me to sign in. Second strike . . . .
We sat there for an hour . . still hadn't been called back. In the meantime, this boy, about 10, and his 7 year old sister came in. She had a mouth full of silver capped teeth (my step-sister did this to her kids so she didn't have to brush their teeth!!), dirty face, and looks like she hadn't brushed her hair in a week. He brother pushed her down in the chair next to Ethan and yelled, "Sit down!!" She looked at me with these sad eyes and said, "I don't like my brother!" I wanted to say, me, neither!! He heard her as he was walking over to torture some little 2 year old playing in the toy house there, and he yelled to her, "Shut your mouth!!" After a couple minutes, he pushes this table out of the way to get to me and reaches out to touch Emily. I pushed his hand away and said, "Please don't touch my daughter." He huffed and puffed . . . and finally walked away.
I decided that I didn't really care if the doctors were the best in the world, I couldn't subject my kids to that place any longer . . . so I just walked out.
I sat in my truck and cried . . . I can't believe it is so difficult to find a good doctor around here, and I'm so frustrated. I called my insurance, and they said I can change pedi's as often as I want . . . but there are only 5 in my area that take our insurance. I've crossed 3 off that list so far!!! I'm going to get all the pedi's in a 50 mile radius and do some drive by's and visit any prospective ones.
After that . . I went to the mall!!! My therapy . . . shopping!!! I bought my ring!!!

Hopefully it'll be done next week. Then we had Emily's pics done . . . and her birth announcements are done and ready to be mailed!!!
So the search is still on . . . . . . . . .
