Exclusive bfing

Anyone else still exclusively BFing? He turns 6 mo tomorrow, but we are gonna try the baby lead weaning thing, so he hasn't truly eaten anything just yet. We've given him steamed broccoli and carrots, but he hasn't started chewing and swallowing just yet. My main question is... How often are your LOs nursing now? And about how much are they eating in ounces?

We are! Penny turned 6 months on Sunday, and we just started solids yesterday, sweet potatoes! She didn't really care that much about the food, but she loved the spoon lol
Nursing, she eats every 2 hours during the day (sometimes will go 3 if we are out). At night she sleeps 830/9pm to 7/8am and occasionally eats once around 3-4am.

With solids, we just started, so she's had just a tablespoon at lunch time. In a few days I'll give her more and see if she likes it. Like I said above, she doesn't really care about food yet, so I'll follow her cues.

Were still exclusive bfing here! Julien eats every 2 to 3 hours day and night. Last week we started letting him try foods. He like fresh mashed banana a lot and has also had jarred carrots. Tasted avacado and that was a no go lol. Hes extremely interested in everything we eat!

That's great guys! Congrats on making it to 6 months!

I wasn't able to breastfeed but DS drinks about 6 oz every 3-4 hours. He also has some cereal or fruit or veggies. He is about halfway through introduction to the first foods now. His favorite has been squash but I'm pretty sure he would eat anything I gave him.

The baby lead weanjng thing is pretty cool, but he made me nervous today bc he had a few chunks of banana in his mouth. I know he's probably not gonna choke, but it makes me sooo nervous! He spit the pieces out- didn't like it at all. I think it was the texture of solid food that he disliked. I mashed up some banana and gave him a tiny bite with a spoon and he HATED it!! Cried and cried. I think he was mainly tired, but we'll try again soon.

Dexter hasn't had any solids yet (unless you count those couple bites of frozen yogurt Penny gave him ) But he's still nursing every 2-3 hours. I'm not sure when we'll start with solids but we do baby led as well so maybe I'll just start making an extra mushy portion of our meals for him.
