How long for call back?

When you call your pediatrician's office to ask a question, typically how long does it take to get a call back?

I picked other because it depended on the question. If I was bleeding usually pretty quickly. If I was calling for lab results I might have to wait till the end of the work day.

I am seriously thinking we need to find a new office. Thankfully, we haven't had to call much at all the last (almost) 8 months. But the few times we have, it takes HOURS to a call back.

This morning we called to ask about a rash we noticed on Henry. We left a detailed message (we didn't get a real person the phone at all.) I was hoping they'd call back before they closed at noon in case we needed to go in. It's almost 1pm now. Still no call back. Freaking ridiculous.

When we were picking an office, we were told there is a nurse there 24/7 to answer our questions and they call back quickly. LIES.

We have a nurse advice line. Typically I just speak to her directly on the few calls I have made over the years. If she is busy, we typically get a call back within 15-20 mins.

Anywhere from 1-3 hours. I think I've only been called back in under an hour once.

The new OBgyn I have has called back within 15 mins aside from one day when I was trying to get a particular nurse.

I would press buttons until you get a person and explain it's an urgent situation and you need to speak to someone. At least you might get a receptionist.
