Every worry about being a 1st time TTC in your 30's?

For all you out there who are ttc your first, do you ever worry that being in you 30's will effect you ability tc? I guess somedays I just worry it will take a lot longer then it would if me & DH were younger. I worry that it may take a long time for it to happen naturally and then what if there is a problem it may take longer. My clock is tick, tick, ticking so loud I'm suprised anyone within a 100 miles of me can't hear it I don't feel like I have that much time to waste & then all these people tell me to be patient it'll happen. I'm 34 closing in on 35 and DH is almost 38 I don't feel like I have that much time.

Hi Lisag. I totally understand how you're feeling. It is a little bit of a reality check when the doctor looks you in the eye and flat out says "at your age, you're running out of time." We have been ttc to for about a year, and i will start my first cycle (and hopefully only) of clomid next week. I just turned 32, and DH is 36. I am excited but nervous also.

I was extremely concerned about my age and TTC. A lot of people looked at me with pity when I told them we were TTC, b/c they thought we'd be too old. I'm 36 and DH is 41. However, we got pg on our third month of trying, May 2009. If there's anything I've learned about TTC and pg, it's that everyone is different. It may take you a long time or it may happen immediately. Now what I worry about is will I be too old if I want to give this first one a sibling.

Hello - new to the group and yes at 35 and on my third cycle ttc I share your concerns! I live in a resort town in Colorado and have plenty of friends who have had healtly pregnancies with ease into their 40's so I know there is plenty of hope. Best to us all right! : )

I know how you feel, I was 34 almost 35 when we started and now I'm 36 on my 2nd round of clomid w/IUI but not giving up hope. I never imagined that it would take this long. I thought we were doing the right thing by waiting until we were financially secure enough to take care of a family.

OMG Yes! I keep thinking why have I waited soo long.. Now I feel like if it doesn't happen in the next year or 2 it's all going to be over with.. I have everyone telling me the longer you wait the harder it's going to be.. Or You going to run into some Major Problems. And the Tick tick ticking is like a freaking alarm clock all the time.. My BF even had the guts to say Maybe you should put it on snooze for a while.. Yeah really. And I said if I were 23 I would! But unlike You I don't have a Lifetime to Make Babies!
Men I really just don't think then get it!

I'm a bit worred....we are on the younger end of the spectrum (I turn 30 next month) but I know that every year we wait is going to make it harder.
