Incompetent cervix

It does help to know what happened this time when we lost out baby at 14 weeks. But also makes me nervous for when we start trying again. Has anyone had experience with this? I know i will have to get stitches in my cervix at 12 weeks to keep it closed. I just know when we start trying again that first 12 weeks will be the longest of my life.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I knew someone who lost her first child because of IC. She had a cerclage put in with her two subsequent pregnancies and now has two happy healthy children. She was put on bed rest with #1 but not with #2.

She was able to have uncomplicated vaginal deliveries with both, going into labour naturally when the cerclages were taken out. I hope that you have a similarly happy story to tell in the future.

Thank you for sharing! This really makes me feel so much better hearing that she went on to have healthy babies! We are going to start trying again in a few months and im just beyond nervous!
