Fallback rise or fluke high temp?

Ok...Yesterday I was convinced that I ovulated the day before. I had two positive results from a digital OPK and then my temp went way up. Today it went way down again. It has to be either fall back rise or that I didn't really ovulate (had an LH surge but didn't ovulate). It's possible to have an LH surge and not ovulate but I don't know how common it is. This is my first cycle using OPK's so I have no clue if this is normal for me.

So...since I can't really find out until I see the next few day's temps...I thought I would start a poll. What do you guys think? We'll all know in a few days and this will give me something to do in the mean time.

I'm trying not to freak out...but my husband left today. If I didn't ovulate after that LH surge then I can't try again until November. That would be so frustrating!

Maeve

PS...cross your fingers for me!

I am going to be optimistic and say you O'd and are having a fallback rise. But I think there is a strong possibility too that you may being Oing today - based on where your temps are. Either way though I would say you still have a good chance. Good luck!

Yeah...I suppose I could be O'ing today. I still have some fertile CM and my temp is down. If I do the timing would be ok. Thanks for the encouragement you guys! I feel better about it already. I'm going to try to stay positive. Nothing else I can do really.

I agree . . . but like you said, the timing is great for either O'ing yesterday or today. Good luck

I too am going to be optimistic and say it is a fallback rise! And if we are wrong, you STILL have a chance! I hope this is your BFP cycle, sweetie!

Well...I thought that if my temp went back up today I'd be convinced that it was fallback rise. FF gave me crosshairs and I should be happy about it, but I'm still not convinced. The coverline that FF gave me is way lower than my last few cycles. Quite often I get crosshairs and then FF moves them.

I won't be convinced for several more days yet.
