Adoptive breastfeeding is a wonderful thing. I breastfed my adopted daughter for 18 months.

If you have any questions on inducing lactation, feel free to ask! I'd be happy to help any way that I can.

Its totally possible! I know of women that were able to breastfeed older adopted babies and toddlers as well. Its a great way to help an adopted child to form an attachment especially if they have spent some time in an orphanage. Get involved with your local LLL for information. Natalie is also a great resource.

I didn't know it was possible until Natalie adopted Emmelia and hearing about how she was able to do it. I think it is an amzing amazing thing and what an amazing way to bond with your new child!

Thanks Ladies
Natalie, i kept reading all about the whole using Lact-Aid while you BF, but after a while, is it possible to produce enough of your own milk to not need it anymore?
