Complete Previa

Who has had complete (total) previa? Did you bleed and if so, when?

I'm at 28 weeks now and one of my docs said it is likely I could start to bleed at 28-29 weeks. The other doc said only 10% of pts with complete previa bleed, so who knows what I believe!
But, I notice the more walking I do, the more BH I have and I don't want them to cause me to bleed...

Anyway, just wanted to hear other people's experiences.

I can't offer you much considering I'm in the same boat but I would give more credibility to the doctor that has more personal experiences handling women with PP. My doctor told me there is really no way to predict if you'll bleed. I've also heard and read over and over again that the bleeding is most (more?) likely to happen as the cervix starts to change. Do you know when you started to dilate with Randy?

When is your follow-up u/s?

I don't remember when I dialated with Randy. I think around 36 weeks, because I remember thinking I would have him early and of course, I didn't...
I go for the next ultrasound on the 24th. The doc was really negative last time and said something along the lines of "only 1 out of 250 women won't move and you'll be that one." Blah. Thanks for the positive (uplifting- ha ha) thoughts, doc.

Not sure if I can help. But I'll try. My placenta was sitting on top of my cervix like I little cap up until 30 weeks. They told me I had placenta previa. I bled in the beginning, 2 times and was told to rest and not lift anything heavy and no sex. At about 24 weeks my doc thought it was moving but wasn't really sure (she sucks at the U/S machine) so I had to make an appt with the specialist. When I was 30 weeks it moved up my right side and is now near my hip.

I was never told anything about it being dangerous but I was told my bleeding was caused by the placenta.
