Reflux advice needed *cross posted*

Please share any advice you have on dealing with a reflux baby. For example, keep them upright for at least 30 minutes after eating, let them sleep upright, etc... Anything is welcome.

Lincoln was about 3-4 weeks before he started having really obvious symptoms. Maybe you'll get some help earlier than I did.

Riley never had 1 spit up til he was over 1 month old. Then all of a sudden it showed up iin full force. What I do is keep him upright after his feeding, whether I hold him, he swings, sits in the Boppy or the bouncy seat. They all work just the same. Another thing is burp them a lot! I burp Riley after 1 oz of EBM. But if he cries and really fusses ill wait til 2 and try again. Excessive crying means they swallow air and he spits up more. After a nap, first thing I do is pick him up and burp him. It seems to help too!

Are the hiccups a bad thing? He gets them a lot. He had them a lot while in the womb also though.

Yes, I agree with Jill, burp him a lot. Also when you feed him try to do it at an angle. Make his head higher than his belly. I'll try to think on it...

Hiccups can be a sign of reflux. Not always tho. Hiccups, congestion, spit ups, screaming after spitups, these a long list of ways to spot it. I hope you get answers!
