We are going to start with a bit of sweet potato at Christmas...a little early based on most advice but late based on our doc's advice - teddy bear will be just over 5 months.

We started at 4 months because Gibson was so interested in food and was literally screaming at us becuase we werent letting him have any!! And we started with cereal mixed with a little mango....and he loved it...and now we just introduced sweet potatoes the last couple days....tomorrow we are gonna try some avacado and see what he thinks....he also had a sweet potato/pumpkin/apple/blueberry baby food from Ellas Kitchen....and i wasnt there when he had it, I was just out of my stuff that day!!!

I would go more by the guidelines than the age!

I don't know what they are off the top of my head, but I'm talking about like...if he can swallow without pushing everything out of his mouth with his tongue, sit up (I think it's unassisted), and other stuff like that. I will try to find a good detailed list for you after work!
