colors and shapes

Who has started teaching them?
We've been using flash cards and cutting out shapes and taping them all over the house making it really fun for him and he knows circle, square, heart, diamond, blue, green, purple, and sometimes yellow. When are you going to start numbers? How do you teach your child?

We haven't been formally teaching our almost-two-year-old; just learning through play and exploration. And having an older sister helps, I'm sure! Audie knows colors and most common shapes (no trapezoid or rhombus recognition yet! ), and she will count up to three objects and has memorized the sequence of 1-10 (although she skips seven).

It's fun to see how our little ones grab on to concepts, isn't it?

I have a pre-school curriculum supplemented by other learning things I find based on what they like or are in to at the time. I won't officially start N on that structured curriculum until a year before he heads to school but we integrate learning into daily lives.
