Mother's Day/Father's Day
I noticed some of the other DDC talking about this and that got me wondering. For all of us first timers, are you celebrating Mother's Day and Father's Day this year with our LOs not quite here yet? The BTDT moms, how did you celebrate your first Mother's Day and Father's Day?
I asked DH and he doesn't see the point in celebrating since we aren't parents yet...

We have been celebrating it for almost 6 years since I'm a "furmommy" so I'm used to it lol!
For LO, tho, I mean it doesn't have to be elaborate, I think. An acknowledgement, a card, frame with u/s pic would be perfect for me.

You know, I don't remember how we celebrated our first Mother's/ Father's Day. I know I got my mother's ring, with Kaitlyn's birth stone, that I have worn every day since. (and its my birthstone, and Cora's!) I agree with K, just something simple like a U/S in a frame, or a card is nice...

When I was pregnant with DS we didn't really celebrate Mother's Day (I was due in June), but I did receive cards from MIL and DH.
Ryan was 4 days old with DH's first Father's Day, and MIL hosted a picnic for close family to come celebrate (and to meet Ryan lol).
Our family doesn't typically do anything for either day though, so the picnic was rare.
This year I have no idea what we'll do, if anything. Of course cards and small gifts, but nothing big I don't think. I'll probably do a craft with DS...I have my doubts about DH doing anything for me with him though, we'll see. lol

I hadn't thought about it, but we will probably get each other a little something.
