Question on babies development

My baby was born in November, but I'm from the Dec Playgroup.

I just have a few questions for 4-6 month old babies.

When your baby cannot see you and you make noise, does he/she turn their head to see what is making the noise or do they seem to just ignore it?

When did your baby turn his/her head at the sound of your voice?

Sometimes he'll turn to see what it is, sometimes it startles him and sometimes he ignores it. It depends on the noise. Loud noises startle him and he cries. Me talking to him will grab his attention and he'll turn to find me. He follows me around the house with his eyes as I clean and work. Some noises like his siblings or the TV he ignores, unless it's interesting to him.

I'd say 5 months is when he really began following me with his eyes and looking for me when I would call his name or talk to him.

I agree. Audrey will turn toward me if she hears my voice, but she doesn't seek out the cause of EVERY noise. She started responding to her name around 5 months.

Levi just started responding to his name recently - but thats partly our fault cause we call him all kinds of things! He will be 6 mo tomorrow. Ive never paid attn to the other things, so I cant help there time-wise.
