Wow! You're speeding ahead of me I'm glad the IUIs are behind you and you are now in the 2ww. Sorry you aren't feeling great though. I hope tomorrow is a better for you!

Thanks ladies!

Jillian - Ya, I ovulated a day earlier than last cycle! On Saturday I had a 19mm follicle on my right side and was given the call for the hCG injection that night. I'm going to assume I ovulated exatly 36 hrs later on Monday as that's when all the right ovary pain/discomfort started. Pretty cool that I can feel that...As well as irritating.

How is your cycle going?

I just got back from Oahu! I had my first IUI yesterday and the second one today. I'm not too far behind you I don't have great hopes for this cycle because my lining was pretty thin. But who knows... maybe something will still be able to implant. I'm happy to be in the 2ww with you!

Woohoo! I hope this cycle works for you!!! They didn't mention anything to me about my lining. With this cycle though I'm not really into it. I don't know if that makes sense. Like the fist IUI I was excited because it was something new to try. But since that failed, I'm just all 'meh' about this cycle. I haven't been looking at my CD's, or really paying attention to much. Maybe I've given up on having a baby? I don't know, but I think I'm just mentally and physically exhauseted from all this.

Anywho, I'm praying for you!

I completely understand. I feel the same way too. If we decide to do an IUI again it will be follistim next time. I can't believe we are already working our way through IUI number two!

I'm thinking of you and hoping the 2ww is going well

Thanks Jillian. I hope this round works for you!

What exactly is the follitism? and what does it help with?

Thanks! Follistim helps with ovulation just like clomid. The bonus for me is that it doesn't thin your uterine lining! There are higher success rates with follistim and about 1/3 of pregnancies result in multiples (moooost often twins). The catch is that it can really overstimulate you, so there are more doctors visits for monitoring, it is expensive, and you have to inject it.

I'm hoping I don't need to go that route, but it seems like it would be much better for me than the clomid!

Oh, I want overstimulation!! Give me multipes! I'm on Femara, which apparently doesn't thin out the lining either.

I'm just waiting until the end of this cycle, either I'll be celebrating a BFP or calling my FC to let them know I'll be taking a break. I will ask about the Follistim or what some other options are upon my return to the clinic.

How are you feeling today?
