Hi ladies, I am sexually active and have been trying for a baby for 19 months with my fiancÚ. I have not had my period or any sign of my period for 4 months, for a few weeks now I have been getting lightheaded/dizzy everyday and I constantly get headaches and I eat a lot also I get queasy occasionally. So I've been thinking that I might be anemic, but I may also be pregnant. I'm confused. I have a doctors appointment next month. Just wondering if you guys knew what might be happening to me.?

at this point, only a doctor can make that kind of diagnosis. any chance you can get in any sooner?

have you taken a pregnancy test?

if she is pregnant, there's a good chance that a pregnancy test won't show it because there's far too much HCG in the system for the test to handle. a blood test would be more reliable and accurate.

Thanks ladies. And no I can't get in any sooner and I haven't taken a test, this time I think it's very important to go to the doctor because this isn't normal for me I've never had anything like this happen, especially my period.

Why have you not tested in four months? Any particular reason?

Have you been on any sort of hormonal birth control in the last year?

Do you have a family history of infertility, wacky periods, etc?

I haven't tested because everytime I do it's negative and I just didn't want to see that again, so I've just been waiting.

I had the rod/bar/implanon in my arm for about 2 years, but I got that out 18 months ago that was the only birth control I've ever been on.

And no I don't think so I have asked my mum and she was fine and all my older family members have kids. So I don't know.

I remember for a time when I was not sexually active I didn't have my period for 6 months then I finally saw the dr. I also had the same symptoms as you but for me it was related to stress. Hopefully you get some answers soon!
