Since she was a planned c-section, everything went very smoothly. We got up at 5am, August 31st, to get ready for the hospital. Had to rub down with the anaseptic wipes. We headed out to the hospital and checked in at 6am. Of course, not being able to eat or drink and nerves had me feeling a bit nauseous, but we were ready. We were delayed a bit at getting back to the recovery area for prep, but it wasn't long before I was in a gown and hooked up to all of the monitors. A friend our MIL is a L&D/OR nurse. She came in on her day off for our case, so it was nice to see a friendly face. The Dr. called to tell us she had been delayed by 15 minutes, so we got to see our family really quick.

Once the Dr. arrived, everything started moving quickly. I was scheduled for 7:30AM. It was about 7:45 when they wheeled me back. They did the spinal pretty quickly, and it took effect almost immediately. Once they laid me back, DH came in and they began putting the drapes on. I started getting really nervous and started shaking like crazy. The Anesthesiologist gave me a little bit of Versed to try and calm me down. It didn't work at all on my shakes. I saw the Dr. pull out the pen to start marking me and it seemed as they were putting up the drape to block my view, she was already starting.

It was a weird feeling....feeling your insides getting pushed and moved around, kind of like a roller coaster, just not quite as bad. Next thing I knew they were telling DH to stand up and look, that she was coming out! Avery Angell was born into this world on August 31st at 8:09am.

It took a few long seconds before she started crying, but those first few cries were music to my ears. They wrapped her up and let DH bring her over to me for "inspection". She stopped crying as soon as I started talking to her. I only got to see her for a short minute as they whisked DH and Avery off for a more thorough exam and bath in the nursery.

The Dr. had me stitched and glued up and back in recovery in no time. I was still shaking from nerves. I requested not to let family back because I was shaking so much and I just wanted to try and relax and close my eyes. They brought Avery to me to feed and she latched right on and knew just what to do, which was great because I had missed that class! I finally got to give her a good once over and realized how perfect and beautiful she was. She's the blessing I've been waiting on for a very long time. My very own gift from God. I fall even more in love with her everyday.

Hi, I'm Tanya, I'm 28, and from Oklahoma. My husband and I have been married for a little over a year, and TTC for a year. I am a nurse and he is a Paramedic. I have 2 kids, a 9 year old DD and an 8 year old DS. My husband doesn't have any children yet.

I recently went to the OB/GYN and he told me due to my regular cycles, he feels nothing is wrong with me. So it's more waiting. I'm taking Ovul-Aid and my prenatals daily. So fingers are crossed!

Good luck to all of you!

I had to send my watch in a few weeks ago. I have a Pulsar watch I got in January of 2009 (J.C. Penney) that has a 2 or 3 year warranty on it. It's supposed to be 5 bar waterproof, which means you are supposed to be able to wear it in the water up to 50 meters. Memorial Day weekend I went into my grandparents' pool with the kids and it wasn't even like I was submerging my arm, but water got into the watch. I couldn't get the droplets out and the watch still worked for a few weeks and then I wasn't able to wind the watch. It sat for about 2 months before I finally sent it in (mostly out of laziness). It was a $75 watch (only paid $25 because I had $50 in gift cards for the mall) -- regularly $110, so I didn't want to just buy a new watch.

Mid August, I sent it in and about 2 weeks later, I get a package back. I open it and they sent me a brand new watch free of charge!

Yay! Pulsar is part of Seiko and I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a quality product. Not sure why it didn't stay water resistant in the first place, but at least they gave me a brand spanking new watch. :)

Now I can look at my wrist without looking like a crazy person (LOL, out of habit I look for the time and I kept doing it even though I didn't have a watch anymore!).

I haven't been around much lately due to some serious family drama that has taken over mine and DH's lives this past week. :grrr: So anyway, the update on me is as follows:
September 1st: B/W to check Progesterone
September 2nd: Started 1000mg of Metformin everyday, instead of 500mg
September 3rd: Got results....EPIC FAIL!! Progesterone Level was 0.9
September 4th: Started Provera (4th Round)

The plan for this cycle is to Take Provera for 10 days, wait for AF, then take 100mg of Clomid on CDs 5-9.

I'm not really sure what my Progesterone levels were supposed to be if I had ovulated with the 50 mg of Clomid, but the Doc. said I had no ovulation, so now we move the dosage up. The 50 mg gave me migraines, so I'm just so excited I could poop myself about having to take 100 mg.

So I decided to take some outside pictures today. I'm trying to get cute '1 year photos' since DH won't let me get the kids professional pictures. Linnis who normally never goes off the blanket was intent on getting onto our desperately needs mowed lawn.

She found a caterpillar. She was so happy and curious about her new friend. I knew what would happen and tried to save Timmy[named posthumously] but it was too late. Caterpillar paste. So I cleaned off her hand and got her distracted. She also found a cricket....I shooed it away....

She was very curious about all the things she could find in our yard.

Charlie is becoming more vocal now, and I think he has picked up on the fact that DH and I just get so overjoyed everytime he 'talks' to us. So the past couple of days he's decided he's going to 'talk' to me while he's eating  He'll latch on and suck, and then pull off and start cooing and gurgling. It's the cutest thing ever! But then it's frustrating because I have to latch him on again only for him to pull off again and 'talk'. The worst part is he doesn't break the suction to pull off, so my poor nipples are suffering  :hehe:
