Anyways I have been holding them up to the light trying to see Cheezit, and I can't  I feel like I'm dying here, just waiting until I get test results back and going for another ultrasound. I was super scared last night because I had cramps that actually hurt- they felt like menstrual cramps. There was no spotting and it stopped after a few minutes, but it's left me very shook up. I feel like I am going to be worrying until Cheezit is born. I can't spend nine months like this! I'm going crazy already!

Hey ladies,

As I was cleaning up my diaper bag I thought that it would be fun to see what all of your diaper bags are like, and what you've packed in them. Here's my bargain-basement diaper bag that's been working like a charm, and its contents. I forgot to take the paci out of its special interior pocket, so it's not visible, but besides that, I think most of my must-haves are shown!

Nursing cover (hooter hider), medical kit, baby wipes, hat, blanket, diaper cream, diapers, outfit, sleeper, bibs and burp cloths, and in a side pocket is a change mat and an empty plastic bag, just in case!

Care to share yours?
AFA's 2009 listing of top retailers and how they recognize Christmas
Based on current advertising, below is a list of companies that avoid, ban, or use the term "Christmas" in their advertising. We will continually update the list, so check back often.

Criteria - AFA reviewed up to four areas to determine if a company was "Christmas-friendly" in their advertising: print media (newspaper inserts), broadcast media (radio/television), website and/or personal visits to the store. If a company's ad has references to items associated with Christmas (trees, wreaths, lights, etc.), it was considered as an attempt to reach "Christmas" shoppers.

If a company has items associated with Christmas, but did not use the word "Christmas," then the company is considered as censoring "Christmas."

Color Code:

Company uses the term "Christmas" on a regular basis, we consider that company Christmas-friendly.

Company refers to Christmas infrequently, or in a single advertising medium, but not in others.

Company may use "Christmas" sparingly in a single or unique product description, but as a company, does not recognize it.

A company may be removed from the "bad" list by providing documentation to AFA.

Should stores feel obligated to spotlight Christmas in their advertisements, decorations, and/or products to keep groups from banning them?

Is it wrong for stores to do non-holiday winter-themes or try to cover as many holidays as they can (consider the Gap ad below) rather than only spotlighting one?

Are stores changing their tunes due to the boycotts? Consider the above lists of stores that don't advertise Christmas, what have you noticed in their stores and their advertising? Getting Christmasyier or becoming more PC?

The Gap has a big placement in this situation. Although they do use the word Christmas in their television ads, they are put on Naughty lists every year because they do not include the word in catalogues, coupons and store decorations. Does anyone here frequent The Gap regularly and keep abreast of their advertising? Do you find them too P.C.?
The Mississippi-based American Family Assn. last week issued a fatwa against Gap Inc. -- the retailing giant whose brands include Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic -- calling for a "two-month boycott over the company's failure to use the word 'Christmas' in its advertising to Christmas shoppers."

~

Do you think these types of bans work? Should they?

How far should stores go to cover all the holidays the winter season carries with it?

With a country that by grand majority celebrates Christmas, should stores reflect that in their advertising and decorations?

Is it wrong for a store to leave a holiday out? Should groups form that ban stores that don't mention Hannukah?

Should stores consider the activist groups and emphasize Christmas more?

Does a store's advertising and decorations during this season affect where you shop?

I'm not sure if this question should be posted here...but I need some advice.
I had to change my OB, because I felt my health wasn't in such good hands. This miscarriage has been going on, and to me everything thats still happening doesn't seem "normal". So I finally was talking to my new OB, and she just wants me to do weekly BhCG blood test until they go back down to 0. Last Tuesday my levels were at 281. They've dropped alot, in September they were at 33,000. My uterus is empty...but I am still bleeding. :( & Low iron levels. :ranting: And she thinks I may have a bladder infection.

So she prescribed me antibiotics for the UTI, and wants me to start taking Levora birth control pills. She said it "might" stop the bleeding.

I want to try and conceive again...but I know you have to let your body heal AFTER you stop bleeding...which I haven't...and don't know when I will. Has anyone been in this situation? And do you think the birth control pills will stop the bleeding? I don't want anything affecting my fertility. Anyone have any advice??

After Sesame Street plays, there is a PBS Show called "A Place of our Own". I believe it's an informational show specifically targeted to parents of toddlers/preschoolers, as all the little snippets we have caught are about the 3-5 age group.

Today I was upstairs getting a bath ready and changing Jackson and I hear Talia talking to the t.v. and it wasn't about Elmo. She was saying "I want homework!"

They were doing a segment on Preschooler Homework. According to the guest speaker on the show.... (Well, I won't give you her opinion :hula:)

Do you think preschoolers should get homework?

If they get it, what kind should it be?

How could preschool homework be beneficial? How could it be problematic?

For moms who have had or have preschoolers, did their school offer it?

For moms who don't have preschoolers yet, would this be important to you when choosing a preschool?

I stopped in March when I stopped the pill and life was good. Well 8 months later, work is the most stressful it has ever been and I'm starting to slip into my crazy hysteria. I seriously don't think I will EVER get my BFP with all of this stress in my life. My health is suffering. I just can't cope on my own anymore.

Does anyone have a pregnancy/antidepressant story that ends happily? I plan on talking to my dr when they call with my progesterone test results.

My mom says that I have to take care of myself and my happiness needs to be #1. If I get a BFP then great. If I don't then I am still happy and healthy.

What do you think?
